Aesthetics of death in japanese culture

The thesis describing specific to the Japanese people approach to death. The author presents traditional, ritual suicide patterns such as "shinju," "junshi", "kanshi", "seppuku", suicidal kamikaze raids. After that author presents the doctrine of "bushido" - "Way of the Samurai" - a value system that deeply penetrated the Japanese culture and defined its shape. Then presented the philosophical currents that influenced the identity of Japanese people and daily rituals of the east fully referring to the philosophy of "life and death." The aim of the work is to show that the universal phenomenon of human mortality can be manifested in different cultures in different ways and through different emotions and expressed.

Praca magisterska opisująca specyficzne dla Japończyków podejście do śmierci. Autor przedstawia w niej tradycyjne, rytualne wzory samobójstw takie jak "shinju", "junshi", "kanshi", "seppuku", samobójcze rajdy kamikaze. W dalszej części pokazana jest doktryna "bushido", czyli "Droga Samuraja" - system wartości, który głęboko wniknął w kulturę japońską i określił jej kształt. Następnie przedstawione zostały nurty filozoficzne, które wpłynęły na tożsamość Japończyków oraz codzienne rytuały przepełnione myślą wschodu nawiązujące do filozofii "życia i śmierci". Celem pracy jest pokazanie, ze uniwersalne zjawisko jakim jest śmiertelność człowieka może być w różnych kulturach manifestowana w odmienny sposób i poprzez różne emocje wyrażana.
