Poniższa praca jest wynikiem badań nad obrazem kobiety, który Pedro Almodóvar, hiszpański reżyser filmowy, przedstawia w swoich filmach Wszystko o mojej matce (1999) i Volver (2006). Autor zwraca uwagę przede wszystkim na role matek, sióstr, prostytutek, umierających kobiet, transseksualistów, narkomanów i aktorek, które są powiązane ze stereotypami przedstawionymi we wspomnianych wcześniej filmach. Podkreśla się również relacje, jakie rozwijają się u kobiet w trakcie fabuły, a z opisu i interpretacji obserwowanych zjawisk wyciąga się wnioski dotyczące znaczenia kobiet w świecie ukazanym przez Almodóvara. Dzięki analizie filmów wskazuje się różne role, które kobiety decydują się odgrywać, aby poprawić swoje życie, ewoluować i wspierać się nawzajem.

This research is the result of studying the female roles that Pedro Almodóvar, a Spanish film director, shows in his films All About My Mother (1999) and Volver (2006). This work focuses, above all, on the roles of mothers, sisters, prostitutes, dying women, transsexuals, drug addicts and actresses that are associated with the stereotypes shown in the works mentioned above. Attention is paid to the relationships that females develop during the plot and from the description and interpretation of what is observed, conclusions are drawn regarding the importance of women in the world of Almodóvar. Through the analysis of the films, it is possible to observe the different roles that women decide to play to improve their lives, evolve and support each other.

Esta investigación es el resultado de estudio de los roles femeninos que Pedro Almodóvar, un director del cine español, muestra en sus películas Todo Sobre Mi Madre (1999) y Volver (2006). Este trabajo se centra, sobre todo, en los roles de madres, hermanas, prostitutas, moribundas, transexuales, drogadictas y actrices que se asocian con los estereotipos mostrados en las obras mencionadas antes. Se presta la atención a las relaciones que las féminas desarrollan durante la trama y a partir de la descripción e interpretación de lo observado, se saca las conclusiones en cuanto a la importancia de las mujeres en el mundo almodovariano. A través del análisis de las películas se puede observar los diferentes roles que las mujeres deciden desempeñar para mejorar su vida, evolucionar y apoyarse mutualmente.
