Praca skupia się na rozważaniach na temat statusu prawnego zwierząt. Poczynając od czasów najdawniejszych status moralny innych istot leżący u podłoża statusu prawnego podlegał przemianom, które wpływają na etyczno-aksjologiczne rozważania po dzień dzisiejszy. Jednocześnie zaś zmiany w zakresie naszych możliwości badawczych sprawiły, że dyskusja o statusie prawnym zwierząt nabrała współcześnie innego wymiaru. W pracy przedstawiony został zarys rozważań na temat możliwego upodmiotowienia zwierząt na gruncie prawnym.
The work focuses on the considerations on the legal status of animals. Starting from the earliest times, the moral status of other beings underlying their legal status has undergone changes that affect ethical and axiological considerations to the present day. At the same time, changes in our research capabilities have resulted in the discussion about the legal status of animals, taking on a different dimension today. The paper presents an outline of considerations on the possible legal subjectivisation of animals.
