W artykule przedstawiono rozmieszczenie i charakterystykę gleb obszaru Krakowa na bazie wcześniejszych oraz aktualnych badań własnych. Przeprowadzone badania wykazały, że w Krakowie przeważają powierzchniowo gleby antropogeniczne (Anthrosols, Technosols). W dolinie Wisły i jej dopływów występują głównie mady (Fluvisols), a w dzielnicy Nowa Huta - czaroziemy (Chernozems). W opracowaniu uwzględniono propozycje ochrony ważniejszych gleb obszaru Krakowa.

Abstract in English

The distribution and the properties of soils in Kraków area were presented in this study based on previous and recent works. Anthrosols and Technosols clearly prevail in the area. However, the Vistula River valley and other river valleys are covered mainly with Fluvisols, whereas in the Nowa Huta area Chernozems are very common. Some suggestions concerning protection of the most important soils of the Kraków area were also presented in the this study.
