Digitization of heritage and culture resources

Niniejsza praca porusza temat procesu digitalizacji zasobów dziedzictwa i kultury. Przedstawia ona przemiany, które zachodziły w instytucjach kultury na przestrzeni ostatnich dekad w związku z cyfryzacją ich zasobów. Zmiany te dotyczyły zarówno strony merytorycznej, praktycznej jak i technologicznej. Praca charakteryzuje procesy digitalizacji poszczególnych rodzajów zasobów dziedzictwa i kultury, tj. materiałów bibliotecznych, dzieł sztuki oraz zasobów audiowizualnych. Analizie poddane zostały także repozytoria i biblioteki cyfrowe oraz serwisy streamingowe, które udostępniają zdigitalizowane zasoby swoim użytkownikom. Ostatni rozdział, różniący się swoją konstrukcją od pozostałych, porusza wzrost znaczenia procesu digitalizacji w okresie pandemii SARS-CoV-2.

This degree thesis concerns the topic of the process of digitization of heritage and culture resources. It presents the changes that have occurred in cultural institutions over the past decades due to the digitization of their resources. These changes concerned both the substantive, practical and technological side. The thesis analyzes various types of digitized collections, i.e. library materials, works of art and audiovisual resources, and the last part of the thesis discusses the growing importance of the digitization process during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.
