The impact of the 2017 education reform on the level of youth media education

Publikacja omawia wpływ wprowadzonej w Polsce w 2017 roku reformy edukacyjnej na poziom edukacji medialnej młodzieży. Poruszane kwestie dotyczą edukacji medialnej oraz wybranych zagrożeń występujących w sieci ( fake newsy, manipulacja, propaganda oraz świadoma dezinformacja). W celu sprawdzenia wpływu reformy edukacji na wiedzę uczniów o mediach zostały porównane dwa roczniki – ostatni rocznik, który uczęszczał do gimnazjum oraz pierwszy rocznik, który uczęszczał tylko do szkoły podstawowej. Autorka przeprowadziła analizę nowej podstawy programowej, zbadała wśród respondentów ankiet skąd zdobywają najnowsze informacje o świecie. Za pomocą wywiadu sprawdziła co o edukacji medialnej i samych uczniach mówi nauczycielka języka polskiego.

The publication discusses the impact of the educational reform introduced in Poland in 2017 on the level of media education of young people. The issues addressed concern media education and selected online threats ( fake news, manipulation, propaganda and deliberate disinformation). In order to test the impact of the education reform on students' knowledge of the media, two vintages were compared - the last vintage that attended middle school and the first vintage that attended only elementary school. The author conducted an analysis of the new core curriculum, examined among survey respondents where they get the latest information about the world from. With the help of an interview, she checked what a Polish language teacher says about media education and the students themselves.
