The Five Stars Movement as a phenomenon of new social movements

W 2013 rok nowy ruch społeczny - Ruch Pięciu Gwiazd założony przez włoskiego komika Giuseppe Piero Grillo doprowadził do zaniknięcia bipolaryzmu we włoskim systemie politycznym. Od wyborów w 2013 roku ugrupowanie to wchodzi skład włoskiego parlamentu. Obecnie posiada także swoich przedstawicieli w Parlamencie Europejskim. Fenomen Ruchu Pięciu Gwiazd związany jest z wykorzystaniem nowych mediów społecznościowych, które pozwoliły na przeprowadzenie szeregu inicjatyw oddolnych oraz zostały wykorzystane w celu promocji nadrzędnej idei ugrupowania jaką jest demokracja bezpośrednia, elektroniczna. Ruch Pięciu Gwiazd wyróżnia się spośród innych ugrupowań antysystemowych, które powstały w ostatnich latach w Europie ze względu na jego internetową strukturę organizacyjną, niezwykły sposób prowadzenia kampanii i osiągnięcia na krajowej scenie politycznej.

In 2013 new social movement – Five Star Movement founded by an Italian comedian Giuseppe Piero Grillo, disturbed the bipolarity in the Italian political system. Since the 2013 elections, the grouping is part of the Italian parliament. It also currently has its representatives in the European Parliament. The phenomenon of the Five Stars Movement is associated with the use of new social media, which allowed to conduct a number of grassroots initiatives and were used to promote the group's overarching idea of direct, electronic democracy. The Five Stars Movement stands out from other anti-system groupings that have arisen in recent years in Europe due to its online organizational structure, an unusual way of campaigning and achievements on the national political scene.
