The ‘'Teatr Ludowy’' periodical and the work of Jędrzej Cierniak

Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie wybranych aspektów czasopisma ,,Teatr Ludowy” oraz twórczości i działalności Jędrzeja Cierniaka. We wstępie odnoszę się do podstawowych ustaleń i stanu badań. W pierwszym rozdziale omawiam strukturę organizacyjną i wybrane rubryki czasopisma. W drugim analizuję koncepcje teatru ludowego i regionalizmu. W trzecim interpretuję dramat ,,Franusiowa dola”. W zakończeniu zaś odnoszę się do możliwości badania tych zjawisk w kontekście ludowej historii Polski (czy też szerzej dyskursu chłopskiego).

The aim of this work is to present selected aspects of the periodical "Teatr Ludowy" and the work of Jędrzej Cierniak. In the introduction, I refer to the basic findings and the state of research. In the first chapter, I discuss the organizational structure and selected sections of the journal. In the second chapter, I analyze the concepts of people's theater and regionalism. In the third chapter, I interpret the play ''Franusiowa dola''. In the conclusion, I address the possibilities of researching these phenomena in the context of the people’s history of Poland (or more broadly, the so-called peasant discourse).
