Social trust in the Police in 2019-2023

Celem niniejszej pracy licencjackiej jest zbadanie poziomu zaufania społecznego do Policji w Polsce w latach 2019-2023 oraz identyfikacja głównych czynników wpływających na to zaufanie. Praca analizuje dynamikę relacji pomiędzy Policją a społeczeństwem w kontekście istotnych wydarzeń społecznych, politycznych i zdrowotnych, w tym pandemii COVID-19.Pierwsza część pracy skupia się na teoretycznych podstawach zaufania społecznego, jego znaczeniu dla funkcjonowania instytucji publicznych oraz różnicach w poziomie zaufania do Policji w różnych grupach społecznych. Praca omawia także wpływ upolitycznienia Policji oraz przypadków nadużywania uprawnień przez funkcjonariuszy na kształtowanie się społecznych postaw wobec tej instytucji​​.Druga część pracy poświęcona jest szczegółowej analizie wyników badań i sondaży przeprowadzonych przez Centrum Badania Opinii Społecznej (CBOS) oraz własnych badań. Przedstawione wyniki pozwalają na ocenę, w jaki sposób te czynniki wpływają na poziom zaufania społecznego do Policji​​.

Here is the translation:The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to examine the level of social trust in the Police in Poland from 2019 to 2023 and to identify the main factors influencing this trust. The thesis analyzes the dynamics of the relationship between the Police and society in the context of significant social, political, and health events, including the COVID-19 pandemic.The first part of the thesis focuses on the theoretical foundations of social trust, its importance for the functioning of public institutions, and the differences in the level of trust in the Police among various social groups. The thesis also discusses the impact of the politicization of the Police and cases of abuse of power by officers on the formation of social attitudes towards this institution.The second part of the thesis is dedicated to a detailed analysis of the results of research and surveys conducted by the Public Opinion Research Center (CBOS) and the author's own research. The presented results allow for an assessment of how these factors influence the level of social trust in the Police.
