Blogging mothers. Diaries and advice blogs.

Praca skupia się na problematyce nowych mediów i ich oddziaływania na rodzinę. Ważne jest także pojęcie 'informacji', jako osi współczesnego społeczeństwa. Głównym obszarem mojego zainteresowania są matki prowadzące swoje blogi. Tematyka blogów obejmuje wychowanie i opiekę nad dziećmi. W mojej pracy wyróżniłam dwa rodzaje blogów: pamiętnikowe i poradnikowe. Przedmiotem moich badań są strategie prowadzenia blogów przez matki. Metoda badawcza to jakościowa analiza treści oraz analiza wizualna. Badania pozwalają ukazać różnice pomiędzy blogami poradnikowym i pamiętnikowymi. Blogi poradnikowe zawierają informacje o konkursach, porady, testy produktów. Blogi pamiętnikowe opisują życie codzienne matki i dziecka. Z jednej strony matki poszukują informacji na blogach, a z drugiej strony stają się ekspertami i udzielają porad czytelniczkom.

My thesis focuses on new media issues and its influence on family. The concept of 'information' is also important as a sense of modern society. The main field of my interest are blogging mothers. The blogs are focused on upbringing and care about children. My thesis is focused on two types of blogs: the dairy type and the advisory type. The subject of my research are strategies of mother’s blog writting. Research methods used in my thesis are qualitative data analysis and visual analysis. My studies allow to show differences between advisory type and dairy type blogs. Advisory type blogs contain information about contests, advices and product testing. Dairy type blogs describe everyday life of mother and her child. On one hand mothers are searching blogs for any kind of useful information and on the other they become experts themselves and give advice to other readers.
