The question of rhytm : Henri Meschonnic and Henri Michaux The purpose of this article is to return to the question of rhythm, which seems to me to be fundamental to both theoretical reflection and the interpretative practice of literary discourse. Henri Mechonnic’s theory of rhythm finds an interesting literary and artistic exemplification in the article « Le rythme et le poème chez Henri Michaux ». The first part of this exemplification concerns rhythm, which in Michaux’s work is realised as an allegory of rhythm and the rhythm of his own allegory ».
