Character of Mary Magdalene in the literature (selected examples)

Praca pod tytułem "Postać Maria Magdalena w literaturze (na wybranych przykładach)" jest próbą przedstawienia literackiego obrazu świętej. W mojej pracy zwracam uwagę na nawiązanie pisarzy do Pisma Świętego, tekstów gnostyckich oraz legendy hagiograficznej spisanej przez Jakuba de Voragine. Poprzez zbadanie tekstów literackich można zauważyć, w jaki sposób traktowana była osoba świętej poczynając przez różnych pisarzy. W mojej pracy zajmuję się tekstami Gustawa Daniłowskiego, Mariana Cezarego Abramowicza oraz Ellen Gunderson Traylor. Każdy z tych twórców stworzył swój własny wizerunek i historię Marii Magdaleny na podstawie dostępnych im informacji zaczerpniętych z Biblii, wierzeń chrześcijańskich, a także gnostyckich. W ten sposób staram się pokazać wielobarwność literacką postaci Marii Magdaleny.

Through the study of literary texts can be seen how the person was considered sacred by different writers ranging. In my work I deal with texts Gustav Danilov, Marian Cezary Abramovich and Ellen Gunderson Traylor. Each of these artists has created its own image and the story of Mary Magdalene on the basis of information available to them taken from the Bible, Christian beliefs, as well as Gnostic. In this way, I try to show multicolor literary character of Mary Magdalene.
