Assessment of the compliance of the Bene Gesserit order with the theoretical model of a long-lived organization

Celem pracy licencjackiej jest zbadanie zgodności fikcyjnych modelów organizacji długowiecznych z teorią zarządzania. Na podstawie studium literatury dotyczącej długowiecznych organizacji oraz analizy wybranych długowiecznych organizacji wyodrębniono cechy kluczowe takich organizacji. Wykorzystując wyodrębnione cechy skonstruowano model teoretyczny długowiecznej organizacji. W celu przeprowadzenia badania poszczególnym cechom modelu przypisano odpowiednie wagi oraz ustanowiono przedziały zgodności modelu. Podjęto próbę zbadania zgodności zakonu Bene Gesserit z utworzonym modelem. Otrzymano bardzo dobrą zgodność modeli, na poziomie powyżej 85%. Uzyskany wynik potwierdza tezę, że w literaturze popularnej można znaleźć fikcyjne długowieczne organizacje, które są zgodne z teoretycznym modelem długowiecznej organizacji.

The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to assess the compliance of fictional models of long-lived organizations with management theory. Based on literature study and analysis of selected long-lived organizations key characteristics of this type of organizations where extracted. Using those extracted characteristics, a theoretical model of long-lived organization was constructed. Aiming to conduct a research, each characteristic was assigned an appropriate weight and the compliance intervals for the model were defined. An attempt was made to assess the compliance of Bene Gesserit order with the created model. Received outcome showed a high level of compliance between the models, rising slightly above 85%. The obtained result confirms a hypothesis, that in popular literature there can be found fictional long-lived organizations that prove to be compliant with theoretical model of a long-lived organization.
