The role of interests and transferable skills of last grade students in the career planning process.

Celem niniejszej pracy jest zbadanie wpływu zainteresowań zawodowych na umiejętności uniwersalne, nazywane również kompetencjami miękkimi. Próbowano również ustalić czy poszczególne profile zainteresowań determinują jednostkę do podejmowania decyzji dotyczących przyszłej kariery. W badaniu wzięło udział 154 uczniów szkół policealnych, którzy wypełniali kolejno Kwestionariusz Zainteresowań Zawodowych (MZZ), Kwestionariusz Umiejętności (SMK) oraz Ankieta heurystyk decyzyjnych planowania kariery uczniów. Analiza wyników częściowo potwierdziła związek zainteresowań z umiejętnościami. Nie udowodniono natomiast wpływu profilów zainteresowań na heurystyki decyzyjne dotyczące planowania kariery.
The purpose of this study was to underline significance of interests in relation to transferable skills. Another aim of this work was to develop our knowledge on a subject of career decision making heuristics and how they are influenced by particular profiles of vocational interests. The study was conducted on the group of 154 last grade high school students. Vocational Interest Questionnaire, Transferable Skills Questionnaire and Decision Making Heuristics Questionnaire were used to measure relevant variables. Results of the study showed that interests partly influence transferable skills but there was no relation between decision making heuristics and vocational interests.
