Theatrical journey of the Greek myth - Amphitryon through the ages

Praca dyplomowa „Teatralna wędrówka mitu greckiego – Amfitrion na przestrzeni wieków” to przedstawienie oraz analiza postaci Amfitriona na podstawie źródeł literackich oraz spektakli teatralnych w kilku różnych okresach literackich. Pierwszy rozdział zawiera analizę porównawczą losów Amfitriona w oparciu o mitologię Karla Kerényiego, Roberta Gravesa, Stanisława Stabryły, Zygmunta Kubiaka, Katarzyny Marciniak oraz „Tarczę Heraklesa” Hezjoda. Kolejne rozdziały odnoszą się do dramatów, których fabuła została oparta na postaci Amfitriona i jego losach, autorstwa Plauta, Moliera oraz Jean’a Giraudoux. Ostatni rozdział to analiza polskich przedstawień teatralnych z XX oraz XXI wieku, bazujących na dramatach „Amfitrion” Heinricha von Kleista oraz „Amfitrion 38” Jean’a Giraudoux.

The diploma thesis "Theatrical journey of the Greek myth - Amphitryon through the ages" is a presentation and analysis of the figure of Amphitryon on the basis of literary sources and theatrical performances in several different literary periods. The first chapter contains a comparative analysis of the fate of Amphitryon based on the mythology of Karl Kerényi, Robert Graves, Stanisław Stabryła, Zygmunt Kubiak, Katarzyna Marciniak and Hesiod's "Shield of Heracles". The following chapters refer to dramas whose plot was based on the character of Amphitryon and his fate, by Plautus, Molière and Jean Giraudoux. The last chapter is an analysis of Polish theatrical performances from the 20th and 21st centuries, based on the dramas "Amphitryon" by Heinrich von Kleist and "Amphitryon 38" by Jean Giraudoux.
