Between the text and the stage - "The Siblings" drama by Thomas Bernhard staged by Krystian Lupa

W niniejszej pracy licencjackiej dokonana zostaje szczegółowa analiza dramatu "Rodzeństwo" Thomasa Bernharda, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem wieloaspektowości i szerokiej problematyki dramatu. Ponadto autorka podejmuje próbę interpretacji inscenizacji dramatu, zwracając uwagę na specyfikę warsztatu reżyserskiego Krystiana Lupy. Celem pracy jest odpowiedź na pytanie, jak środki artystycznego wyrazu charakterystyczne dla odmiennego medium, jakim jest teatr, wpływają na odbiór dzieła. Spostrzeżenia autorki zostają skonfrontowane ze stanowiskami badaczy analizującymi ten dramat oraz twórczość Thomasa Bernharda i Krystiana Lupy.

In this Bachelor Thesis, drama "The siblings" written by Thomas Bernhard is analysed in detail with the main focus being multiperspectivity and broadness of issues adressed by the text. In addtion, its author, attempts to interpret the staging of the play, paying attention to the specificity of Krystian Lupa directing technique. This paper is an attempt to answer the question how means of artistic impression characteristic for the theatre affect the reception of the work. Author's obesrvations are then confronted with findings of scholars examining this drama, and work of Thomas Bernhard and Krystian Lupa.
