German Language and Culture Contest in the context of work with a talented student

Kompleksowa struktura Olimpiady Języka Niemieckiego stawia przed uczestnikami i nauczycielami języka niemieckiego wiele wyzwań. Sukces w olimpiadzie osiągnięty może zostać tylko w oparciu o indywidualizację celów, treści i metod kształcenia w pracy z uczniem zdolnym. Ponieważ zadania w OJN w części pisemnej są bardzo zróżnicowane, niniejszy artykuł analizuje wyłącznie pierwszy typ zadania, polegający na uzupełnieniu tekstu z lukami i stanowi tym samym przyczynek do szerszej dyskusji o konkursie i możliwych sposobach przygotowania się do niego.

The complex structure of the German Language and Culture Contest opens a lot of challenges for students and teachers as well. Success can be reached only on the basis of personalization of targets, educational methods and materials during work with a gifted student. Due to the fact that the exercises in the contest paper are very diverse, this article analyzes only the first exercise, which is to fill in gaps in a text in German with some words. This task is also a reason for an extensive debate about the contest and about the best ways to prepare for this competition.
