To fulfil the task of preparing young people to cope with the future,
the school must change and become adequate for their needs. In
order to achieve this aim, educational leadership should also change.
Unfortunately, all changes are hampered by the mental models shaped
during the period of the industrial revolution and the one-class schools,
supported by, so common nowadays, neo-liberalism and the belief
that competing is the primary form of interpersonal relations in the
globalised world. To change schools, we require both dialogue and the
answers to the following questions: what kind of schools do we need,
and why do we need them?
