The article presents main topics discussed during the 6th Congress of Polish Culture, which took place on 23–25 of September 2009 in Krakow, 20 years after the communism collapse, and 5 years after the adhesion of Poland to the UE. The main topics discussed during the congress were connected to the ways of culture funding (transparency of mechanisms, giving away the decision about the distribution of money in hands of experts and public bodies), the privatization of public culture institutions, and the need of equaling an access to public funds for institutions and organizations from private and public sectors. A lot of legal aspect of artistic and cultural activities was also discussed during the congress, specially the Public procurement law, which is not adequate for culture sector, and the Law on organization and management of cultural activities. The idea of a public body which will prepare a new more adequate law concerning Medias appeared during the congress and the Public Media Civil Committee was established.
