dc.abstract.en With the political transformations in Poland and the introduction of the educational reform in 2017, the state’s requirements towards schools and other educational institutions have also been transformed. These requirements, in the form of the ministry’s regulation, are a sort of a signpost for educational institutions, they show the priorities in their functioning. It is a way of drawing attention to the desirable state of affairs in various areas of their operation, e.g. in organizing educational processes, students’ activity, cooperation with parents, school management, etc. The requirements are also the object of examination in external evaluation conducted by external pedagogical supervision. These requirements were first introduced in the educational law in 2009 and their contents have been modified three times since. The last modification was introduced in 2017, when the currently ruling party in Poland introduced the educational reform to schools. The article presents a comparative analysis of the state’s requirements towards schools of 2015 and of 2017, showing the directions of the development of Polish school assumed by the current government. pl
