The paper deals with the concept of subjectivity as a ruin in Polish post-Holocaust narratives of the 21st century. The first part briefly examines Piotr Pazinski’s Pensjonat and the problem of recreating origin, while in the second part I will focus on Marek Bienczyk’s Tworki and the ethic of memory.
