Kościoły tutejsze mają wspólne cechy konstrukcyjne i formalne z rozległą grupą kościołów małopolskich. Drewniana architektura i sztuka sakralna były dostępnym pomostem między sztuką elitarną, a lokalną, kształtowały horyzonty wiejskiej społeczności.
Wooden religious architecture for centuries has shaped the cultural landscape of the countryside in the region of Cracovians, although it did not exclude the brick architecture. Due to the similar materials, which were also used for residential buildings, it seemed to be familiar, although its foundations were based on patronage law and the builders came from specialized circles. A number of preserved wooden temples allows to illustrate the construction changes in the architecture from the 15th to the 20th centuries. However, there is no specific type of wooden church that can be connected only with the Cracovian region. The churches here have architectural and formal features common in a large group of churches in the Lesser Poland (Małopolska) region. Wooden architecture and sacred art were a bridge between the art of elites and the local art, shaping the horizons of the country community.
