abstract in English:
The article deals with two main issues. It outlines the characteristics of the reception of “small” literatures in Hungary, and describes the process entry of Polish popular and scandalous literature to the Hungarian publishing market. Thanks to young and talented translators of Polish literature Hungarians can read the best books of Manuela Gretkowska, Katarzyna Grochola, Andrzej Stasiuk and Michał Witkowski. These writers – especially women – stand out because of an often shocking use of colloquial words and profanity. In 2007 a new anthology of Polish short stories, “Lengyel Dekameron” was published in Hungary. It was the first sign of change in translation, because for the first time there were published stories of young Polish popular writers.
