Abstrakt: Artykuł poświęcony jest analizie znaczenia relacji: Tęczowy Wąż/ogień w obrzędach Warramunga (Warumungu) poświęconych Wężowi Wollunqua. Mit wędrówki Wollunki ściśle wiąże się z mitem pierwszego rozpalenia ognia. Obserwowany przez B. Spencera i F. J. Gillena cykl obrzędowy koduje wymienność dwóch połów (moieties): Kingili i Uluuru w organizacji obrzędów kojarząc ją z przejściem od dominacji symboliki wodnej (Wollunqua) do ognistej (Moloch Australijski). Znakami przejścia są charakterystyczne parafernalia: wał Mini-imburu i wykonana z ozdób Kingili Miniurka. Wkopanie w ziemię przez przedstawicieli klanu Kuny Workowatej słupa wintari, kojarzone jest na planie mitycznym z podniesieniem się Wollunki do pozycji pionowej, między wędrówką po powierzchni ziemi, a zagłębieniem się pod ziemię. Zgodnie z mitem wzniesiony do nieba Wollunqua zobaczył wielki ogień i musiał przed nim uciekać do swojej siedziby. W konsekwencji obrzędy Wollunki wyznaczają podstawową cykliczną zmianę: pora deszczowa - pora sucha.

The article examines the significance of the relationship between the Rainbow Serpent and fire in the rituals of the Warramunga (Warumungu) devoted to the Serpent Wollunqua. The myth of the passage of the Wollunqua is closely related to that of the first lightning of fire. The ritual cycle observed by B. Spencer and F.J. Gillen encodes the exchangeability of the two moieties Kingili and Uluuru in the organization of rituals, associating them with the transition from the domination of the symbolism of water (Wollunqua) to that of fire (Mountain Devil). The symbols of the transition are characteristic paraphernalia: the Mini-imburu mound and the Kingili Miniurka, made from wands. The wintari pole, buried in the land by representatives of the eastern quoll clan, is associated in myth with the Wollunqua rearing into a vertical position, between walking on the surface of the land and digging into it. According to the myth, the Wollunqua, raised into the sky, saw a great fire and had to escape to its home. As a result, the rituals of the Wollunqua designate fundamental cyclical change: rainy season - dry season.
