Roma are one of ethnic groups in Poland. The Roma population is estimated to be between 16 thousand and 30 thousand. As it is the case in other countries in Central and Eastern Europe, the process of assimilation of the Roma minority into Polish society is limited. Roma are a social group that is particularly exposed to social discrimination and social exclusion. The authors of the study take up major social and cultural issues related to living conditions of the Roma minority in Poland and they indicate measures implemented at national level in order to improve living conditions of this ethnic group.
