Wstęp. Ciężkie oparzenia stanowią duży problem w medycynie. Ciężkie oparzenia pociągają za sobą wielokierunkowe zaburzenia ogólnoustrojowe, których leczenie może stać się bardzo trudne dla ratownika medycznego. Duża aktualność tematyki skłoniła mnie do podjęcia własnych badań.Cel badań. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie działań ratunkowych na etapie przedszpitalnym i szpitalnym (szpitalny oddział ratunkowy) u chorego z oparzeniem termicznym.Materiały i metody. Przy pisaniu tej pracy licencjackiej wykorzystano metodę analizy indywidualnego przypadku medycznego. Poddano analizie dokumentację medyczną pacjenta uzyskaną od Zespołu Ratownictwa Medycznego „P” oraz Szpitalnego Oddziału Ratunkowego.Wnioski. Ciężkie oparzenie może stanowić stan zagrożenia życia poszkodowanego. Właściwe postępowanie ratunkowe w ciężkim oparzeniu podjęte na miejscu zdarzenia ma kluczowe znaczenie dla ostatecznych efektów terapeutycznych. W postępowaniu ratunkowym u chorego po ciężkim urazie oparzeniowym szczególną uwagę należy zwrócić na ryzyko szybko rozwijających się zaburzeń w gospodarce wodno-elektrolitowej i wysoki poziom bólu ran oparzeniowych, co wymaga wdrożenia często intensywnej płynoterapii oraz leczenia przeciwbólowego. Leczenie ciężkich oparzeń wymaga często współpracy wieloośrodkowej, w tym podjęcia leczenia w centrum oparzeniowym.

Introduction. Severe burns are a major problem in medicine. Severe burns entail multidirectional systemic disorders, the treatment of which may become very difficult for the paramedic. The high topicality of the subject prompted me to undertake my own research.The aim of the study. The aim of this study is to present the rescue actions at the prehospital and hospital (hospital emergency department) stages in a patient with thermal burn.Materials and methods. In writing this undergraduate thesis, the method of individual medical case analysis was used. The medical records of the patient obtained from the Emergency Medical Team "P" and the Hospital Emergency Department were analysed.Conclusions. A severe burn may be a life-threatening condition for the victim. Appropriate emergency management of severe burns undertaken at the scene is crucial for the final therapeutic outcome. In the emergency management of the patient after severe burn injury, special attention should be paid to the risk of rapidly developing water-electrolyte disturbances and high level of burn wound pain, which often requires implementation of intensive fluid therapy and analgesic treatment. The treatment of severe burns often requires multicentre cooperation, including the initiation of treatment in a burn centre.
