dc.abstract.pl	Większość uczestników sporu o aborcję zgadza się, iż aborcja jest praktyką, która wymaga jakiegoś usprawiedliwienia. Co więcej, uczestnicy sporu są także jednomyślni co do tego, że w określonych okolicznościach, układających się w pewne typowe, powtarzalne sytuacje, usprawiedliwienie aborcji jest nie tylko potrzebne, ale i możliwe. Przedmiotem sporu jest zatem "jedynie" to, jakie są to okoliczności - w jakich więc sytuacjach przerywanie ciąży jest moralnie dopuszczalne (i powinno być również prawnie dozwolone). Jednak w pytaniu o "okoliczności" czy też "sytuacje", w których aborcja jest usprawiedliwiona lub możliwa do usprawiedliwienia, chodzi de facto o dwie różne kwestie. Jedną z okoliczności, które rozstrzygają o tym, czy aborcja jest w danym wypadku moralnie dopuszczalna, stanowi powód, z którego się ją przeprowadza. Inną taką okolicznością, współdecydującą o moralności usunięcia płodu, jest jego wiek czy też stadium rozwoju, w którym się znajduje. Etyczny problem aborcji można by zatem sformułować w pytaniu: Czy dokonywanie aborcji jest w ogóle moralnie dopuszczalne (i powinno być prawnie dozwolone), a jeśli tak, to w jakim stadium ciąży i z jakiego powodu? Niniejszy artykuł stanowi przeglądu problemów i argumentów związanych z aborcją w trzech rodzajach sytuacji: w przypadku ciąży zagrażającej życiu lub zdrowiu kobiety, w przypadku ciąży wynikłej z gwałtu (czy też ogólniej - ciąży niedobrowolnej) oraz w przypadku ciężkiego lub poważnego uszkodzenia płodu.	pl
