The aim of this paper is to specify axiological conditions of rational decision making according to Aristotle, Tadeusz Kotarbinski, Max Weber and Jean-Paul Sartre. The text is to indicate compatibilities and differences of their theories of rational decision making. They have been chosen due to their originality and their significant influence on contemporary theories of rational action. The presentation of these theories will undergo ontological-phenomenological analysis of the phenomenon of rational decision making, define the essence of thephenomenon and indicate necessary and sufficient conditions of its occurrence.
