abstract in English:	Since Michael Rothberg open up the discussion about multidirectional memory, many other scholars used this concept to analyse art works, including films. Although multidirectional memory practices generally focus on the possibility of establishing solidarity between memories that are geographically or culturally distant from each other, in this thesis, it will be argued that this concept is also important within multicultural and multi-traumatic societies. In this thesis, primarily the concept of multidirectional memory and later, concepts such as travelling memory and implicated subject will be examined through productions of independent cinema from Turkey, specifically Özcan Alper’s Gelecek Uzun Sürer (Future Lasts Forever), 2011. Through film analysis, the multidirectional memory of Turkey's traumatic past will be discussed as an opportunity of practice of solidarity.
