dc.abstract.pl Shintōizm, religia licząca dwanaście tysięcy lat oparta na mitologii japońskiej jest nieodłącznym elementem kultury Japonii. Podtrzymując zarówno tradycję, jak i wierzenia przeniknęła w sferę codziennego funkcjonowania społeczeństwa. W ten sposób shintō po dzień dzisiejszy ingeruje w życie Japończyków szczególnie w zakresie zachowania harmonii świata i utrzymania równowagi pomiędzy sferą sacrum a profanum. Przedstawienie genezy shintō, jego oddziaływania na pozostałe ruchy religijno-ideologiczne oraz wpływu na światopogląd mieszkańców wysp ma na celu wskazanie, że shintōizm jest nadal obecny w życiu Japończyków. Analiza terminu „kultura” oraz zestawienie definicji Antoniny Kłoskowskiej z kulturą japońską ma nakreślić jej wielowymiarowość i wskazać na bogactwo nurtów i idei składających się na jej specyfikę. Ukazanie wybranych przykładów sztuki japońskiej XX i XXI wieku związanych z shintōizmem ma pokazać nierozerwalną wieź Japończyków z ich rodzimą religią, która mimo upływu wieków jest stałym fundamentem japońskiej kultury. pl
dc.abstract.en Shintōism, over twelve thousand years old religion based on Japanese mythology, is an integral part of Japanese culture. By maintaining both tradition and beliefs, it is infiltrated into the sphere of everyday social life. In this way, shintō interferes with lives of the Japanese people till today, especially in terms of providing the harmony of the world and balance between the sacred and the profane. This dissertation by explanation of genesis of Shintō, the impact on other religious and ideological movements and the influence on the world view, shows that shintōism is very much present in lives of Japanese people. The analysis of the term "culture" and the juxtaposition of Antonina Kłoskowska’s definition with Japanese culture is to demonstrates its multidimensionality and multitude of tendencies and ideas that constitutes its uniqueness. Selected examples of 20th and 21st century Japanese art related to shintōism is necessary to explain the unbreakable bond between Japanese people and their religion which, despite the passage of centuries, is a constant fundament of Japanese culture. pl
