| abstract in Polish: | O Adi Da warto wspominać. Ten przewodnik duchowy, guru, zwolennik "transgresywnej pedagogiki szalonej wiedzy" choć zawsze pozostawał w cieniu innych współczesnych mahaguru i nigdy nie był postacią ani wpływową, ani szeroko znaną, zajmuje istotne miejsce w procesie adaptacji tradycji azjatyckich na grunt kultury zachodniej, a zwłaszcza jej sfery duchowej. Może być wręcz traktowany, jak pisze Jeffrey J. Kripal, jako "mocny punkt odniesienia" do badań nad mechanizmami rządzącymi tymi procesami. Scharakteryzowana w niniejszym artykule "metoda Siddhów" jest drogą duchową, rozpoczynającą się od stanu określanego przez Adi Da jako "poszukiwanie" i "odrzucanie", lub - gdy mówił o uwikłanym w te procesy człowieku - o "osobowości Narcyza", drogą prowadzącą do "radykalnego zrozumienia" specyficznie pojmowanego stanu ekstazy, który „wyjmuje” człowieka ze strumienia wszystkich aktywności, stanowiących o jego tożsamości jako istoty ludzkiej. |
| abstract in English: | The Adi Da Samraj: Narcissus, the "method" of the Siddhas and radical understanding. Adi Da is certainly worth mentioning. Even though this spiritual teacher, guru, advocate of "transgressive pedagogy of crazy wisdom" always remained in the shadow of other contemporary Mahagurus and was never an influential or widely known figure, Adi Da occupies an important place in the process of adaptation of Asian traditions into the realm of Western culture, particularly into its spiritual sphere. As Jeffrey J. Kripal says, Adi Da “offers us the opportunity of what we might call "strong comparison" crucial in the study of mechanisms which regulate these processes. "The method of the Siddhas" described in this article is a spiritual path, starting from the state defined by Adi Da as "searching" and "rejecting", or - when he spoke about human being entangled in these processes - "personality of Narcissus", the path leading to the "radical understanding" - specifically conceived state of ecstasy, which "pulls" a man out of the stream of his entire activity which constitute his identity as a human being. |
