abstract in English:	The purpose of the present article is to the discuss reception of Mikhail Shishkin’s writing among Russian critics. The authors analyze numerous interviews given by the writer and reviews of his works published in Russian press. There is a significant disagreement between critics when it comes to the reading of Shishkin’s work. Despite the fact that his prose has many admirers, others call his writing excessively difficult and unnecessarily tangled. Most importantly, there is no dialogue between the writer’s enthusiasts and critics, who are skeptical about his writing. It should be noted, that the those authors who find Shishkin’s work commendable much more often include the elements of dialogue with other critics in their articles, while discrediting texts are lacking this element. The most significant critical articles do not judge the writer but rather focus on his language (modus of narration), motifs used in his works, construction of novels, as well as the relationship of these works to tradition.
abstract in other languages:	Цель статьи - проследить восприятие творчества Михаила Шишкина российской критикой. Авторы анализируют многочисленные интервью писателя и обзоры его произведений в русской периодике. Наблюдается существенное несогласие между критиками, когда доходит дело до прочтения произведений М. Шишкина. Несмотря на то, что у его прозы много поклонников, другая часть критиков называет его стиль нарочито затрудненным и неоправданно запутанным. Важнее всего то, что между адептами писателя и его зоилами нет диалога. Следует отметить, что те авторы, которые находят его произведения достойными похвалы, гораздо чаще включают в свои статьи элементы диалога с другими критиками - в материалах же последних этого элемента недостает. Авторы наиболее значительных критических статей не столько судят писателя, сколько сосредотачивают внимание на языке (формы повествования), на сюжетах произведений, их композиции, так же как на их отношении к традиции.
