Zaprezentowane analizy morfologiczne i morfometryczne zostały wykonane z użyciem mikroskopu świetlnego z kontrastem fazowym.
Tardigrades are a phylum of microscopic invertebrates inhabiting terrestrial and aquatic environments throughout the world. To date, the Polish tardigradofauna encompasses 102 species. In this thesis, I report two new species of tardigrades for Poland: Macrobiotus cf. joannae PILATO & BINDA, 1983 found in the northern part of the country and Macrobiotus cf. vladimiri BERTOLANI, BISEROV, REBECCHI & CESARI, 2011 found in southern Poland. Both species represent the hufelandi group. The presented morphometric and morphological data have been obtained using light microscopy imaging with phase contrast. The species have been compared with their original descriptions. Additionally, in the case of M. cf. vladimiri, I also compared my specimens with paratypes borrowed from the ROBERTO BERTOLANI collection. I also discuss difficulties with the taxonomy of the hufelandi group as well as the possible application of integrative taxonomy methods to for solving these problems.
