dc.abstract.pl The thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter summarizes history of Azerbaijan and the basic factors which formed her identity. Subsequently, the second chapter deals with the history of Armenian nation and her distinctive elements which formed the Armenian national identity. Moreover, Armenian question of Russian Empire and the relationship among Armenians-Ottomans and Armenians-Azerbaijanis as well as several historical facts and arguments concerning Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are reviewed in Chapter 2. Finally, Chapter 3 discusses István Bibó’s views on characteristic features of the national frameworks of Central and Eastern European nations and the reasons of the territorial conflicts among the antagonistic nations and argues that these formula also explains, in turn, the reason why Armenia and Azerbaijan came to battelground due to Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. pl
