dc.abstract.en This master's thesis titled 'Czesław Miłosz and Walt Whitman in view of the world of nature' focuses on the issue of relationship between human and nature in the context of the Fourth Part of Poetic Treaty by Czesław Miłosz and three poems by Walt Whitman “Miracles”, “Song of the Redwood Tree” and “This Compost”. The main subjects discussed are: defining the nature by both poets as well as the relationship between nature and culture and the potential threats it can pose for humans. pl
