Praca licencjacka analizująca depresję na przykładach filmowych w różnych jej aspektach. W części pierwszej przedstawione jest pojęcie depresji, historyczne i kulturowe podejście do choroby, jak również jej motywy w kulturze, filozofii i sztuce. Następnie znajduję się krótki opis elementów odbioru filmowej fikcji. W drugiej części znajduję się analiza różnych aspektów depresji na konkretnych przykładach filmowych. W filmie "Helen" analizowany jest kliniczny obraz tej choroby, następnie film "Ida" ukazany jest jako przykład zapadnięcia w depresję w efekcie doświadczenia straty. Ostatnim przykładem jest film "Melancholia" przedstawiony jako optymistyczna i artystyczna wizja zaburzenia.

The topic of this Bachelor thesis is the analysis of different aspects of depression shown on different film examples. First part is the explanation of the term depression as well as its aspects and motives in literature, culture and art. The second part is the analysis on the film examples. First one is "Helen" as a clinical study of the illness, then in "Ida" depression is analyzed as a consequence of the experience of loss. The last example is "Melancholia” which shows the positive and artistic aspects of depression.
