W pracy przedstawiono podstawowe sposoby wycen przedsiębiorstw i struktur kapitałowych, a także odniesienie tych aspektów do funkcjonowania dynamicznie rozwijających się przedsiębiorstw z segmentu start – up. Praca składa się z czterech rozdziałów. W pierwszym rozdziale omówiono temat wyceny przedsiębiorstw. W rozdziale drugim przedstawiono pojęcie struktury kapitałowej oraz wyróżniono koncepcje owej struktury. Rozdział trzeci poświęcono start – upom. Ukazane są tu trendy panujące na świecie w ostatnich latach, a także przegląd trudności z jakimi spółki te muszą się zmagać na polskim rynku. Rozdział czwarty to charakterystyka spółki Selvita SA. Dużo uwagi poświęcono w nim ryzykom zagrażającym działalności firmy. W podsumowaniu zawarto wnioski dotyczące struktury kapitałowej, pojęcia wyceny przedsiębiorstw oraz ich wpływu na rynek start – up.

The aim of this thesis is to propose ways of valuation of enterprises and capital structures , as well as to refer those aspects to the functioning of the fastest growing companies in the start – ups segment. The study consists of four chapters. The first chapter discusses on the valuation of companies. The second chapter presents the concept of capital structure and highlights its main ideas. The third chapter is about start - ups . Here are shown trends that have been prevailing in the world’s economy in recent years. Furthermore, it is an overview of the difficulties with which these companies have to deal on Polish market. The fourth chapter is a characteristic of the Selvita SA company. It is focused on risks that threats the company's activity. The summary contains proposals on capital structure, the concept of business valuation and their impact on the start – up market.
