Terapia biologiczna od wielu lat odgrywa ważną rolę w leczeniu różnorodnych chorób z dziedziny onkologii, endokrynologii, gastroenterologii i reumatologii. Metoda ta zajmuje także istotne miejsce w leczeniu chorób skóry, m.in. łuszczycy, zwłaszcza jej odmiany stawowej i plackowatej w przypadkach nie reagujących na tradycyjne metody terapeutyczne, oraz czerniaka złośliwego. Pojawiły się również badania potwierdzające pozytywne efekty terapeutyczne po zastosowaniu biofarmaceutyków w innych chorobach skóry, takich jak atopowe zapalenie skóry, pęcherzyca, piodermia zgorzelinowa, łysienie plackowate, skórne postacie sarkoidozy i ropnie mnogie pach.Niniejsza pracy opiera się na przeglądzie literatury dotyczącej skuteczności i bezpieczeństwa stosowania leków biologicznych w dermatologii, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem łuszczycy i czerniaka złośliwego. Przedstawiono również aktualny stan badań nad wdrożeniem biofarmaceutyków do terapii innych schorzeń dermatologicznych.

The biological therapy for many years has been playing an important role in the treatment of oncological, endocrine, gastrointestinal and rheumatic diseases. Moreover, it appears to be an effective approach in skin disorders, particularly in psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis in patients who have not responded to classical therapy, and malignant melanoma. The literature data also show the beneficial effects of the biotherapeutics in the treatment of other skin disorders like: atopic dermatitis, bullous diseases, pyodermia gangrenosum, alopecia areata, cutaneous sarcoidosis and hidradenitis suppurativa.This thesis summarizes the view of international scientific literature on the efficacy and safety of biological agents used in dermatology, with particular emphasis on psoriasis and malignant melanoma. The current results of research concerning the implementation of biopharmaceuticals for other dermatological diseases treatment is also presented.
