dc.abstract.pl Celem poniższej pracy jest ocena wykorzystania środków pozyskanych z Unii Europejskiej w ramach Programu Operacyjnego Infrastruktura i Środowisko na lata 2007-2013 na przykładzie wielkich inwestycji infrastrukturalnych w mieście Gdańsku. Istotnym elementem w toku pisania pracy okazała się ankieta wśród mieszkańców miasta. Na jej podstawie udało się potwierdzić tezę iż najbardziej rozpoznawalnymi oraz najbardziej wpływającymi na tempo rozwoju miasta są inwestycje transportowe. Analiza SWOT zrealizowanych inwestycji ukazała konieczność rozwoju bazy kulturalnej dla uzyskania zrównoważonego rozwoju. W podsumowaniu uznano iż fundusze Unii Europejskiej w znacznym stopniu ułatwiają i przyspieszają realizację koniecznych inwestycji, wpływając tym samym na podniesienie jakości życia mieszkańców oraz na promocję miasta wśród turystów. pl
dc.abstract.en The main purpose of this thesis is the evaluation of the large-scale investments in the city of Gdańsk financed from the Infrastructure and Environment Programme as a part of European Union’s funds. Crucial element of the below thesis is a questionnaire made amongst the residents of Gdańsk. It was a former base to confirm the thesis that the most discriminative and the most influencing the pace of development of the city of Gdańsk are transport investments. However SWOT analysis of each type of the infrastructure investments portrayed the need of persisting cultural base development to reach further sustainability. In conclusion it was stated that the European Union’s funds including Infrastructure and Environment Programme can facilitate fullfiling undertaken projects. The more investments in the city are finished the higher quality of life of the residents is. pl
