Otyłość jest chorobą, na którą cierpi znaczny odsetek społeczeństw krajów rozwiniętych i rozwijających się, w tym Polski. Najnowsze badania naukowe wskazują na coraz większą liczbę dzieci oraz młodzieży z nadmierną masą ciała. Otyłość dziecięca implikuje szereg powikłań, między innymi prowadzi do występowania problemów z utrzymaniem prawidłowej wagi w dorosłym życiu. Celem pracy było opisanie wpływu otyłości dziecięcej na zachowania i postawy wobec siebie studentek pielęgniarstwa. W pierwszym rozdziale pracy opisano teoretyczne zagadnienia związane z problematyką otyłości dziecięcej. Drugi rozdział zawiera informacje na temat metodologii pracy. Następny rozdział dotyczy charakterystyki grupy badawczej. Jako podsumowanie pracy napisano dyskusję oraz sformułowano wnioski.

Obesity is a disease that affects a significant percentage societies developed and developing countries, including Polish. Recent scientific studies indicate a growing number of children and adolescents with excess body weight. Childhood obesity implies a series of complications, among other things, leads to the occurrence of problems with maintaining a healthy weight in adulthood. The aim of this study was to describe the effect of childhood obesity on the behavior and attitudes towards other nursing students. The first chapter of the study describes the theoretical issues related to the problems of childhood obesity. The second chapter contains information on the methodology of work. The next section refers to the characteristics of the research group. Discussed and formulated conclusions were written as a summary of this study.
