abstract in Polish:	Praca porusza zagadnienie wpływu tekstu konstytucji na autorytarny charakter władzy w Egipcie. Opisuje tradycję konstytucyjonalizmu w Egipcie w XX wieku, jak również najnowsze wydarzenia, w tym te związane z Arabską Wiosną i przemianami ustrojowymi w kraju. Szczegółowo przedstawione zostały unormowania konstytucyjne w kraju, jak również praktyka władz w odniesieniu do ostatnich 30 lat.
abstract in English:	The essay raises the question of the impact of the constitutional text to the authoritarian nature of power in Egypt. Describes tradition of constitutionalism in Egypt in the twentieth century, as well as recent developments, including those related to the Arab Spring and political changes in the country. Presented in detail constitutional provisions in the country as well as the practice of the authorities for the past 30 years.
