Liban dotknęło wiele konfliktów zbrojnych, w tym wojna domowa, które doprowadziły do licznych zniszczeń i skrajnego ubóstwa wielu Libańczyków. Przez ostatnie lata kraj ten poczynił znaczne postępy w podnoszeniu standardów życia, niestety wewnętrzne i zewnętrzne wstrząsy sprawiły, że Liban przeżywa dziś kryzys polityczny. Niestabilność sektora bezpieczeństwa, różnorodność wizji politycznych, przemoc, z którą w pewnym stopniu zetknęli się wszyscy mieszkańcy tego kraju są poważnym problemem, a w szczególności mają negatywny wpływ na wszystkie aspekty życia dzieci. Prawa określone w Międzynarodowej Deklaracji Praw Dziecka przysługują wszystkim dzieciom, bez względu na przynależność religijną czy narodowościową. W praktyce zarówno dzieci libańskie, syryjskie i palestyńskie doświadczają w Libanie wielu krzywd, a należne im prawa różnią się w zależności od wyznania czy narodowości. Organizacje międzynarodowe takie jak Save the Children oraz agendy ONZ, UNICEF, UNHCR, UNRWA niosą pomoc i monitorują na bieżąco sytuację dzieci wszystkich narodowości mieszkających w Libanie. Ich raporty wykazują, że dziećmi najbardziej narażonymi na łamanie ich praw są dzieci z ubogich rodzin oraz dzieci uchodźcy. Praca ta stanowi opis praw przysługujących dzieciom libańskim oraz opis sytuacji dzieci uchodźców z Palestyny i Syrii. Nie zawsze prawa najmłodszych mieszkających w tym kraju są odpowiednio respektowane i zabezpieczone. W tej kwestii w Libanie pozostaje jeszcze wiele do zrobienia, w szczególności w obliczu kryzysu humanitarnego uchodźców syryjskich.

Lebanon has been involved in many armed conflicts, including civil war, which caused a lot of destructions and extreme poverty of many Lebanese people. Over the last years the country has made significant progress in raising standards of living, but internal and external upheavals caused Lebanon’s crisis. The instability of the security sector, the diversity of political visions, violence, which many inhabitants have witnessed are a serious problem, especially have a negative impact on all aspects of children's lives. The rights presented in the International Declaration of the Rights of the Child are entitled to all children, regardless of their religion or nationality. In practice, Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian children experience in Lebanon many harms and their rights are different depending on their religion or nationality. International organizations such as Save the Children and the UN agencies such UNICEF, UNHCR, UNRWA monitor and providing assistance to children of all nationalities in Lebanon. Their reports show that most vulnerable children are children from poor families and refugee children. This thesis is a description of the rights of Lebanese children and the situation of children of refugees from Palestine and Syria.Rights of youngest inhabitants of this country are not properly respected and protected. In Lebanon, there is still much to be done, especially towards the humanitarian crisis of Syrian refugees.
