Tematem pracy magisterskiej jest symbolika kuchni w społeczeństwie meksykańskim. Słowami kluczowymi jest kuchnia, symbolika, tradycje, kultura oraz Meksyk. Praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów. Pierwszy rozdział dotyczy związku symboliki z kuchnią, historii, a także funkcjonowania kuchni w cywilizacji oraz społeczeństwie. Drugi rozdział dotyczy kuchni oraz państwa Meksyk, jako państwa społecznie i kulturowo różnorodnego, historii kuchni meksykańskiej od epoki prehiszpańskiej po współczesność, składników kuchni meksykańskiej, a także kuchni meksykańskiej na światowej liście Organizacji Narodów Zjednoczonych do Spraw Oświaty, Nauki i Kultury. W rozdział trzeci dotyczy samej symboliki kuchni meksykańskiej. W tym rozdziale została opisana symbolika meksykańskich produktów, składników oraz meksykańskich dań, które stanowią symbol Meksyku, co jest związane z uroczystościami i świętami, które uwzględniają pożywienie, będące symbolem tych świąt w Meksyku

The topic of the thesis is the symbolism of food in Mexican society. Keywords are cuisine, symbols, traditions, culture, and Mexico. The thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter is related to a compound symbolism of the cuisine, the history and the functioning of the cuisine in civilization and society. The second chapter concerns the cuisine and its status in Mexico as a socially and culturally diverse country, Mexican history from pre-hispanic era to the present day, the ingredients of Mexican cuisine, as well as Mexican cuisine on the world list of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. The third chapter relates the symbolism of Mexican cuisine. In this chapter it is described the symbolism of Mexican products, ingredients and dishes, which are associated with celebrations and festivities. They include food, a symbol of the holidays in Mexico.
