Celem niniejszej pracy jest zbadanie specyfiki wybranych utworów Bartolomea de Selmy y Salaverdego i traktowania w nich głosu fagotu. Pierwszy rozdział przedstawia stan badań dotyczących życia i twórczości kompozytora. Drugi omawia rozwój wczesnego fagotu i repertuar przeznaczony na ten instrument. W trzecim dokonana została analiza formalna czterech wybranych kompozycji Salaverdego. Czwarty rozdział omawia traktowanie w nich partii basu obligato oraz ukazuje wyniki badań pod kątem realizowania ich przez fagot. W pracy odnaleźć można liczne odniesienia do twórczości fagotowej innnych kompozytorów epoki: Daria Castella, Giovanniego Battisty Fontany, Marcina Mielczewskiego i Mikołaja Zieleńskiego.

The purpose of this work is to study the fine details of Bartolomeo de Selma y Salaverde works and their approach to parts of the bassoon. The first chapter shows the state of research regarding the life and works of this composer. The second chapter introduces the development of early bassoon and repertoire for this instrument. In the third chapter the author analyses four chosen compositions of Salaverde. The forth chapter examines the approach to bas obligato parts in aforementioned works and shows results of studies regarding its execution by bassoon. In addition the author includes many references to the bassoon creations of other composers of the era: Giovanni Battista Fontana, Marcin Mielczewski and Mikołaj Zieleński.
