Mimo iż Blisko Wschód od lat jest jednym z głównych obszarów stosunków międzynarodowych, kwestia praw mniejszości narodowych zamieszkujących te tereny jest niezmiernie słabo opracowana w polskiej literaturze naukowej. Praca w kompleksowy sposób opisuje realizację praw mniejszości narodowych w Republice Tureckiej. Autorka rozwija kwestię realnej sytuacji Żydów, Ormian i Greków w kontraście do praw deklarowanych w kolejnych konstytucjach, umowach międzynarodowych czy programach partii politycznych od momentu utworzenia nowego państwa tureckiego w 1923 roku do wyborów prezydenckich w sierpniu 2014 roku, wygranych przez Recepa Tayyipa Erdoğana.

Despite the fact that the Middle East is one of the most popular topic in international relations, the issiue of the minority rights who are living in that area is very poorly elaborated in Polish scientific literature. The thesis in a comprehensive way describes the implementation of the rights of minorities in the Republic of Turkey. The author elaborates on the real situation of the Jews, Armenians and Greeks in contrast to the rights declared in the subsequent constitutions, international agreements and programs of political parties since the establishment of the new Turkish state in 1923 to the presidential election in August 2014, won by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
