abstract in Polish:	W ramach pracy przedstawiono gatunki glonów morskich, ich stanowisko systematyczne, występowanie, a także opisano zastosowania kosmetologiczne i farmaceutyczne.Zasadniczą częścią pracy jest omówienie bioaktywnych właściwości i zastosowania alg zarówno w produktach kosmetycznych jak i farmaceutycznych. Omówiono ich działanie na organizm człowieka na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań naukowych.Praca przedstawia, jak ważną rolę odgrywają algi dla prawidłowego funkcjonowania organizmu, podczas stosowania wewnętrznego jak i zewnętrznego, w produktach kosmetycznych i leczniczych.
abstract in English:	Within the content of this work were presented algae species, their types, division, biological and chemical characteristics, and their presence in environment; also their use in cosmetology and pharmacy was described.The most important part of this work concerns detailed presentation of bioactive and chemical factors of algae and their application as well in cosmetics as in pharmaceuticals. Their diverse influence on human and animal organisms was reviewed on a basis of scientific research. The main part the work consist on presentation of some chosen cosmetics and pharmaceuticals such as soap, masks, bath salts, cream, algae dressings from different producers – for each example a photograph and detailed description was furnished to present the combinations of ingredients as well as and their impact on the skin, which can be palliative, nourishing, moisturizing or anti-wrinkle and anti-ageing. As was showed, algae play a very important role as internally applied substances conditioning proper functioning of organism, as well as a precious ingredient of cosmetics.
