Tematem pracy jest zbadanie ekspresji nacjonalizmu kulturowego w sferze japońskich blogów kulinarnych. Opierając się o samodzielnie wykonane badania autor stara się zbadać płaszczyzny występowania tego fenomenu w japońskim społeczeństwie.By dokonać rzetelnej analizy, badacz rozpoczął pracę od przybliżenia najważniejszych pojęć: nacjonalizmu kulturowego, rozumianego jako podtrzymywanie własnej tradycji, poczucia wyjątkowości i unikalności rodzimej kultury. Kolejnymi pojęciami zdefiniowanymi w pierwszej części pracy są: jedzenie, czyli wszystkie elementy związane z przygotowaniem, podaniem i spożyciem pokarmu, i blogosfery, czyli sposobu prowadzenia internetowego pamiętnika, wraz z podkreśleniem istotności relacji między jego twórcą a czytelnikami.W kolejnym rozdziale czytelnikowi została przybliżona historia tradycji japońskiej kulinarnej. Jej powstawanie i wykorzystanie przez władzę i społeczeństwo. W tym rozdziale znajduje się również opis relacji między polityką i religią a jedzeniem, co niewątpliwie miało wpływ na zajęcie przez nie szczególnego miejsce w japońskiej kulturze.Następnie autor zwraca się ku analizie japońskich użytkowników Internetu i ich zachowań. W tym miejscu znajdują się przykłady potwierdzające wpływ kultury na postępowania ludzi w sferze wirtualnej. W różnicach jakie zachodzą między poszczególnymi grupami internautów, autor pracy zauważa podtrzymywanie tradycyjnych podziałów japońskiego społeczeństwa. W ostatnim rozdziale autor bazując na własnych badaniach i danych zastanych poddaje wnikliwej analizie blogosferę zarówno od strony formalnych badań dotyczących autorów oraz prezentowanych przez nich treści. The goal of his thesis is to examine the expression of cultural nationalism amongst Japanese culinary blogs’ authors. Based on self-made research the author is trying to determine the levels of occurrence of the phenomenon along the Japanese society.To conduct a thorough analysis the author begun the thesis with definitions of key concepts of: cultural nationalism, food ways, and blogosphere. The first is understood as maintaining traditions, a sense of uniqueness and the exceptional way of the native culture. Culinary aspect is explained as whole process of preparation, presentation and consumption of foodstuff. Blogosphere is shortly interpreted as the internet diary with strong accent put on the relation between its author and readers. The next chapter is concentrated on the history of culinary traditions in Japan. Its construction and the exploitation by the government and society. In this chapter the author emphasize the important role of food in Japanese culture which may be determined by the usage of foodstuff by the official and religious authority. In the next part of the thesis author turns to research of Japanese internet users and their manners. There are examples presented to stress the cultural influence on people’s behaviour in the virtual sphere. In the differences amongst the specific groups the author sees the continuation of traditional division of society.In the last chapter, relying on previously self conducted research and on existing data, the author examines the blogosphere by analysing the authors and their blogs’ content. Here, author reaches the goal of the thesis by presenting the elements of cultural nationalism amongst the Japanese society, maintaining the culinary traditions and the frequent choice of native cuisine over the foreign.
