abstract in Polish:	Praca przedstawia ocenę obecnego modelu adopcji w Polsce i na Ukrainie i jest odpowiedzią na pytanie jak wygląda adopcja w tych dwóch państwach, jakie są różnice i podobieństwa. Zagadnienie adopcji jest obecnie bardzo aktualne i ważne w wybranych przeze mnie państwach. Podczas napisania niniejszej pracy starałam się maksymalnie wykorzystać dostępną literaturę, choć należy zaznaczyć, iż w tym temacie jest ona uboga szczególnie na Ukrainie. Ze względu na charakter pracy postanowiłam ograniczyć się do opisania jedynie wybranych aspektów przysposobienia. W niniejszym opracowaniu starałam się przedstawić politykę społeczną dotyczącą adopcji w Polsce i na Ukrainie, scharakteryzować wymagania stawiane stronom uczestniczącym w usynowieniu, opisać procedurę adopcji oraz poddać analizie zagadnienie tajemnicy i zaprzestania przysposobienia. Biorąc pod uwagę fakt aktualności tego zagadnienia należy podkreślić potrzebę dalszego doskonalenia całej jej procedury przy jednoczesnym uwzględnianiu obszarów potrzebujących pomocy i zreformowania. Myślę, że ważne dla instytucji adopcji byłaby współpraca z innymi państwami europejskimi w zakresie przysposobienia.
abstract in English:	In this master’s thesis I present current models of adoption in Poland and Ukraine. My aim is to demonstrate the procedure of adoption in these two countries and to show the differences and similarities in this process. The issue of adoption is currently very important in these particular countries. Writing this work I tried to use all available literature. I want to note that there is not much literature on this subject, especially in Ukraine. Due to the writing of this diploma work, I decided to describe only certain aspects of adoption. I tried to introduce social policies of adoption in Poland as well as in Ukraine and to characterize the legal requirements for the parties involved in adoption, describe the whole procedure of adoption and analyze the most important problems. In comparison to Poland, the whole process of adoption in Ukraine takes much less time. This is due to absence of formalities and mandatory preparation of parents for adoption. I want to emphasize that the procedure of adoption in Ukraine and Poland needs to be improved as well as reformed. I think that cooperation with other European countries is a very important instrument in this field.
