Funkcja oraz okołodobowa rytmika zmian morfologicznych komórki monopolarnej L2 w układzie wzrokowym Drosophila melanogaster.
układ wzrokowy, interneuron L2, zegar biologiczny, detekcja ruchu, Drosophila melanogaster.
visual system, interneuron L2, circadian clock, perceive motion, Drosophila melanogaster
Tworzy on liczne wypustki dendrytyczne i kontaktuje się z zakończeniami fotoreceptorów. Rytmicznym zmianom w ciągu doby ulega wielkość jądra komórkowego, obwód aksonu i drzewek dendrytycznych, a także ilość synaps zwrotnych i tetradycznych.
The visual system of Drosophila melanogaster is composed of a complex retina and optic lobes, which consist of three optic neuropils (the lamina, the medulla and the lobula). The outermost- lamina plate consists of a layer of cortical and neuropilu who are building optical units called cartridges. In each central cartridges, along with the axoneme L1 cells, L2 monopolar cell axon is. It creates numerous dendritic trees and contacts the photoreceptor endings. L2 receives impulses from the nerve endings through the photoreceptor tetrad synapses and sends the information to the photoreceptor via feedback synapses. Its axon is contacted also situated next to the axoneme monopolar cells L1 through gap-junctions. L2, like L1 forms a nerve path involved in the process of motion detection by insect. Interestingly, the morphology of L2 cells show circadian, endogenous structural change. They exemplify the plasticity of the visual system of Drosophila melanogaster. Rhythmic change in a day is the size of the nucleus, axon circumference and dendritic trees, and the number of tetrad synapses and feedback.
