Authors characterise file and relational databases. Treating VTLS as an example they discuss issues of the library databases protection; the analyse issues of the preparing the bibliographic entry for the book, including authority heading. Authors mention also the aspects of databases copyright protection, including the following issues: scope of the copyright, ownership of the copyrights, subject amtter of the copyright, transfer of economic rights.
